Nokia took the wraps off its first two Windows Phones at the opening day of its Nokia World conference.<br />
There are two of them: The Nokia Lumia 800 (the phone known as
“SeaRay”) and the Lumia 710 (the phone codenamed “Sabre”). The phones
both are built on the same 1.4 GHz Snapdragon processor and “Mango”
operating system release. The Lumia 800 features a 3.7-inch display and
an 8 MP camera and a ; the 710 has a 3.7-inch display and a 5 MP camera.
The estimated retail price of the Lumia 800 is 420 Euros (about $585 U.S.) and the 710 is 270 Euros (or $376 U.S.).<br />
<a href="http://i.zdnet.com/blogs/lumia800nokia.png"><img alt="" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-11084" height="375" src="http://i.zdnet.com/blogs/lumia800nokia.png" title="lumia800nokia" width="475" /></a><br />
The rumored third Windows Phone device — a more business-focused
phone codenamed “Ace” was a no-show today (if it exists at all, which I
believe it does).<br />
Many on Twitter noted the first Nokia Windows Phones were solid, but
lacking some of the features one might expect — like front-facing
cameras, built-in NFC support and on-device storage of more than 16 GB.<br />
There’s no official word as to when — and actually if — the Lumia 800
and 710 models will come to the U.S. Nokia officials promised a
“portfolio” of Windows Phones will begin rolling out in the U.S.
starting early next year, but didn’t actually say whether those two
devices will be part of that portfolio.<br />
We do know that Nokia is going to support CDMA and LTE in certain markets where it makes sense, but, again, no specific official promises. (ThisIsMyNext reporters noted that Verizon Wireless reps were at the show,
which is a somewhat encouraging sign for us Windows Phone users on
Verizon who still only have one model from which to choose, a year after
Windows Phone debuted.)<br />
What wasn’t lacking was Nokia’s thoughts and plans for marketing the
new phones with a slogan “Amazing Every day.” Company officials played
up during today’s kick-off keynote the way Mango features that are
common to all Windows Phones will resonate with consumers and help
differentiate Microsoft’s offerings from the Android and iPhone
competition.<br />
It doesn’t seem as though Nokia is envisioning its Windows Phones as
helping the company attract the next billion phone users; instead, Nokia
is playing up its four new S40-based “Asha” phones
as its offerings aimed at cost-sensitive younger users in emerging
markets. That said, the Lumia 720 is going to be available first (later
this year) in Russia, Taiwan, India, Hong Kong and Singapore. The Lumia
800 is going to be available first in six European markets this fall,
and Russia, Taiwan, India, Hong Kong and Singapore before the end of the
year.<br />
Nokia execs also noted that Nokia is providing its Windows Phone
users with some custom applications designed by Nokia and for Nokia
products only, including its Nokia Music and Mix Radio services (which seem to have nothing to do with Microsoft’s Zune service) and Drive voice-activated turn-by-turn directions.<br />
Microsoft is really betting heavily on Nokia to push Windows Phone
sales. Though the two Lumias introduced today look nice, they seem
pretty pricey (to a U.S. consumer like me who is used to cheaper
phones), especially given they don’t offer a whole lot more —
feature-wise — than other Mango phones. My ZDNet colleague Larry Dignan
wonders aloud whether consumers will see them as “must have” gadgets. Maybe other phones in the coming U.S. portfolio will be must-haves, but these, to me, are not. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: black;"><span></span>It’s always tough to make a sci-fi film where you have to first make the audience understand the basic premise – the ‘new technology’ that makes things happen. And even tougher when your primary target audience is children. Shahrukh Khan and Anubhav Sinha manage to pull it off barely by a pixel.<span id="more-50033" style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;"></span> So Shekhar Subramanian (SRK) is a clumsy, Hindi and Tamil speaking game programmer in London. He has a wife Sonia (Kareena Kapoor) and a kid Prateek. To impress his son, he makes a computer game where the villain RA.One is more powerful than the hero, G.One. Then the unexpected happens. Thanks to the ‘new technology’, RA.One enters the real world. Now he is all set to cause destruction everywhere he goes and even G.One might not be able to stop him.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 10px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: black;">Kareena really doesn’t have much scope to show off her talent, except in the songs and she shines in them. Shahrukh is in a totally new avatar here and it’s not just the curly hair. His romance is downplayed, he does funny football fights and gets his Tamil wrong. But hey, it is an interesting change from his usual dreamy romantic scenes. And when he has to remain expressionless as he is playing a game character, he still conveys a lot with his blue eyes.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 10px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: black;">A big cheer for Arjun Rampal. We couldn’t wait for RA.One to come out of the game, just so we could see the hunk. We waited. And waited. The most tragic thing that can happen to a hero, happens to Shekhar and all we are thinking is, where is Arjun? It’s post-interval and he is still to make his appearance. Poor Arjun. And to think he shaved his glorious head of hair just to be in less than half a movie. Despite the length of his role, Arjun makes a heady impact.</span></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px; margin-bottom: 10px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: black;">If you are a die-hard SRK fan, you should give this film a shot. Especially with the VFX actually being really stunning. It makes you want to believe that yes, gaming characters can enter the real world. That’s a huge plus. <em style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;">RA.One</em> has set the bar really high with its VFX. If only director Sinha had paid that much attention to the emotional factor. There are so many moments where you know he wants you to pull out your handkerchief but you just don’t feel the need to. That’s why in the end, we are still left asking one thing: G.One might be a superhero with a heart, but hey Shahrukh, where’s the soul?</span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The app will soon be available soon from the Android Marketplace but I tried it recently and found it a bit sparse but quite cool. When we started seeing results, everyone got excited and started a high speed coding race. In no time, we added Voice input, Text-to-speech, also a lot of hueristic humor into Iris. Not until late evening we decided on the name “iris.”, which would be Siri in reverse. And we also reverse engineered a crazy expansion – Intelligent Rival Imitator of Siri. We were still in the fun mode, but when we started using it the results were actually good, really good.</div>

<div style="color: white;">
<span style="font-size: small;">Below are the reasons why android is better than others:</span></div>
<div style="color: white;">
</div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
</div>
<div style="color: white;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><b>Availability:</b></span></span></div>
<div style="color: white;">
<br /></div>
<div style="color: white;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;">Android
phones are almost universally available, unlike the iPhone, which is
available only at Apple Stores and a select few stores. Also, nearly all
Android phones are available almost instantly in India when they are
launched worldwide, but the iPhone is available in USA first than in
other nations usually after a year, when it is already too old.</span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span><br />
</span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><b>Network lock:</b> <br />
<br />
The major drawback of iPhone is, it is sold with a network lock - it
works only with one mobile service provider to which it is subscribed,
and you cannot use it with another provider. Android phones do not have
any such restrictions and the users are free to use any network of
their choice.</span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span><br />
</span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span><br />
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><b>Price:</b> <br />
<br />
With Style and features, money also matters. When a new iPhone is
launched, it is priced exorbitantly and is out of reach for most
customers. Whereas, Android phones are a mixed bag as far as price is
concerned, as there are so many of them that almost every price segment
is covered and you can choose the Android phone that suits your pocket.
.</span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span><br />
</span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><b>Widgets:</b></span></span>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><b> </b> <br />
</span><span>Widgets are valuable because they
can provide an at-a-glance look at lots of different kinds of
information and quick access to valuable apps and configuration
settings.</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"> Android phones have screen with widgets with an actual purpose, giving you information at the flick of your finger tip.</span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQNHg1x8WDUVO2l36ftgVEv9erL9VPDDw4e6KaWF7twfE3x4x3h_bEqYnOIaVL78bIEoaegvB4I-exfCOYhd2TSwMitnhBJYV1wAB8sq2p291f0nwGCM0K45X8e_KMxPxzeKYxerlx4po/s1600/452116-500-416.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQNHg1x8WDUVO2l36ftgVEv9erL9VPDDw4e6KaWF7twfE3x4x3h_bEqYnOIaVL78bIEoaegvB4I-exfCOYhd2TSwMitnhBJYV1wAB8sq2p291f0nwGCM0K45X8e_KMxPxzeKYxerlx4po/s320/452116-500-416.jpg" width="320" /></a></span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
</div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;">For
example, Data Counter widget instantly displays data usage to check
your internet usage, On the other hand, Twitter widget keeps you updated
with your Tweets.</span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><br /></span>
</div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><b> No need for software application on the computer:</b> <br />
<br />
iPhone needs iTunes on your computer for syncing to do just about
anything on the iPhone, such as transferring applications, music,
videos or contacts. In addition, you can sync it with only a limited
number of computers. Android phones do not need any such application -
simply plug the phone into any computer and exercise complete control
over your phone.<br />
<br />
Data transfer is as easy as drag and drop. On a side note, I deem the
SD card expandable memory option in the Android phone to be better than
having no memory slot as in the iPhone, because you can carry
additional memory cards with you and use when required without worrying
about running out of memory.</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"> </span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><br />
</span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><b>Convenience:</b> <br />
<br />
You can instantly switch on or off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Mobile Network or
GPS on the Android phone just by simply clicking on the provided
buttons on the home-screen. This goes a long way in conserving battery
life. In the iPhone, you have to go deep into the settings to be able
to enable or disable these features.</span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span><br />
</span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><b>Better web browser:</b> <br />
<br />
The web browser on the Android phone is really awesome. To know the
reality, you have to use it personally. It is faster than Safari, has
every feature that you expect from a web browser, and supports Flash.
Being an operating system developed by Google, as expected Google is
integrated deep into the heart of Android. Thus, if you want to search,
simply enter the search button and enter your search string and the
results will appear with no delay. </span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;">There is also Google Voice app available for Android.</span><span><br />
</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><br />
Of course, the browsing experience varies with the speed of the
processor inside the Android phone, which means that you will get the
best browsing experience on the more expensive phones. Also, we must
mention here that the web browser on the iPhone 4 is supposed to be the
best around, but we don't get the iPhone 4 here in India and even if
we were to import it, it is too expensive. </span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><br />
</span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><b>Notification system:</b> <br />
<br />
In the iPhone, there is a very limited notification system. For
example, if you are a Twitter user, then you need to open the Twitter
app to find the tweets.</span></span></div>
<div style="color: white; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;">In
Android based phones, notifications are organized in a better fashion.
These apps can access the notification system of the operating system
and alert you on the notification bar to a new email, voice message,

application runs in the background and you do not need to open it to

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><b>Apps from Market:</b> <br />
<br />
Just like the App store from Apple, there are lots of apps for Android
available in the Android Market. Just about every iPhone app has an
equivalent, which is usually free. The coolest part is that you need not
sign into your account every time you want to install an app from the
Market, even if the app is free. And yes, Market has more liberal
censorship laws for Android apps - Google does not play the moral
police.</span></span></div>

Android phones can be personalized the way you want. Thus, you can make
the phone appear the way you want, and behave the way you wish.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;">Depending
on the type of user you are, you can configure each desktop to serve
your needs. If you are a business user, you may want a screen with
contacts, emails, stocks and news updates via RSS, etc. A social network
user may want to have a Facebook desktop, a Twitter desktop, and so
on. You can even add a whole new desktop if you want and set default
actions for different contacts. This is the power of Open Source that is
not available in iPhone.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"><b>OS update makes your phone better:</b> <br />
<br />
Updating the operating system on an older iPhone such as installing iOS
4 on the iPhone 3G, usually affects the performance in the negative
way, forcing me think whether it is a strategy by Apple to force you
into buying their newer iPhone. Forget about preventing the OS being
updated in older devices after a certain version, Apple does not even
care to warn the users against the ill effects of updating the OS on
older devices. <br />
<br />
Android on the other side, has been seen to actually make the phones
work faster with the updated OS. Better still, to avoid any problems as
we have seen in the previous example, a trend has been seen where most
Android phone manufacturers play safe by setting a limit that an
Android phone can update its OS only twice in its lifetime.<br />
<br />
Some of the above limitations can be overcome by Jailbreaking the
iPhone, but then would you risk voiding the warranty on such an
expensive device? I wouldn't.<br />
<br />
So at last, i have some good enough reasons to decide to go for an
Android phone. Please tell me your views in the comments section below.</span><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; height: 1%; line-height: 15px;"> </span></span></div>

Tell me o kkhuda is come back movie for both hemamalini and esha deol.hence,expectations were high.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GSSD73vBCcA/Tppd9B0kDvI/AAAAAAAAAG4/s3OzxAOSaaw/s1600/tell-me-o-khuda.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GSSD73vBCcA/Tppd9B0kDvI/AAAAAAAAAG4/s3OzxAOSaaw/s1600/tell-me-o-khuda.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The soundtrack consists of seven tracks, three of which have been composed by Pritam (<i>Mausam</i> and <i>Once Upon A Time in Mumbai</i>) and the reminder by other composers amongst which are DJ Aqeel and Sajid Wajid (<i>Dabbangg</i>). It features the vocal talents of Sunidhi Chauhan(‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ – <i>Tees Maar Khan</i>), Anuskha Machanda (‘Mit Jaaye Gham’ – <i>Dum Maaro Dum</i>), Shweta Pandit and Shreya Ghosal (‘Bahara’ – <i>I Hate Luv Storys</i>) amongst other new vocalists. Mayur Puri has penned the first six tracks while Jalees Sherwani has penned the 7th track.<br />
<b style="color: #6fa8dc;">Someone Someday</b><span style="color: #6fa8dc;"> </span>gets the ball rolling. An aesthetically
composed track by Abhijeet Hegde Patil, it is equally well rendered by
Sunidhi Chauhan. Puri’s decent and hopeful lyrics combined with Patil
slow contemporary music makes the number instantly likeable.
Unfortunately, I can’t say the same thing about the track’s remixed
version. Firstly, the rap lyrics are very off-putting, more so after you
see Salman Khan doing a pathetic attempt at lip-syncing them in the
music video currently on air. Secondly, it all comes off as rather
sleazy. The original may have been sensually aware but it was classy in
its sensuality. If you manage to get past that, it may be a decent
remix, because the music is great and Anuska Machanda’s vocals are
awesome. However, personally, I couldn’t get past the rap. <br />
Things get desi-fied with <b style="color: #6fa8dc;">Mera Man Jabse Racha Hai Sawariya</b>
which begins with an ensemble of Rajasthani folk artistes and then turns
into a familiar, if not mediocre, romantic number well sung by Shewta
Pandit. In the same line as songs like ‘Bahara’ (<i>I Hate Luv Storys</i>) and ‘Saathiya’ (<i>Singham</i>),
it’s girly and cute and Puri has done a good job with the lyrics so
they don’t sound run-of-the-mill. The folk vocals give the song a nice
edge and though it reminds you of prior sufi-esque Pritam numbers like
‘Tum Jo Aaye Zindagi Mein’ (<i>Once Upon A Time In Mumbai</i>) and ‘Teri Ore’ (<i>Singh is Kingg</i>) it does not disappoint. <br />
Next is <b style="color: #6fa8dc;">Mile Na Tu</b>, a fast paced duet vocalised by Sundhi
Chauhan and Anupum Amod. As with the previous track, the premise of the
track is nothing new. It could have easily been another song with the
trade mark phrase “Tere bin(a)…” but Puri has penned it well so the same
sentiments are vocalised relatively differently. George Theofanous has
composed a short yet effective track. You are tapping your feet to it
and bopping your head to it and before you know it the track’s over,
thus not giving you the time to over-analyse it. Its just long enough to
be enjoyed. <br />
Shreya Ghosal steps behind the mic for <b style="color: #6fa8dc;">Nagma Koi Gunguna Ne Ka</b>,
obviously a journey song what with the subtle hints at
self-actualisation and the like by Puri. The track is vocally potent
but Pritam’s music still leaves an impression, especially the musical
interlude just before the end of the song. <br />
<b style="color: #6fa8dc;">Love You Dad</b>, sadly, fails to impress mainly because of the
overuse of English lyrics that in my opinion makes it sound amateurish.
Throw in the shrill voice of Aditi Banarjee and song falters. Amod’s
vocals are wasted on ill-lyrics, a shock since Puri has been doing a
fantastic job penning the track’s predecessors. Dad/Son, Dad/Daughter
numbers have been composed immensely well in the past and I was
personally expecting something like the title track of <i>Akele Hum Akele Tum</i> or <i>Babul</i> or even a lose amalgamation of both, but no such luck. <br />
The soundtrack closes with the title track,<span style="color: #6fa8dc;"> </span><b style="color: #6fa8dc;">Tell Me O Kkhuda</b>.
It is a rock-chick-esque of a composition by Sajid-Wajid that has ample
opportunity to be choreographed with style and oomph. Sunidhi’s
rendition oozes attitude that make the track even more trendy while
Jalees’s lyrics are strictly okay. The chorus line can be at odds with
the rest of the song but it is still decent number.<br />
In summary, <i>Tell Me O Kkhuda</i> does not offer any new and is not
overly impressive. However, it is listenable. ‘Mera Man Jabse Racha Hai
Sawariya’ stands out while ‘Somebody Somewhere’ and ‘Nagma Koi Gunguna
Ne Ka’ are easy on the ears. And if you need a little tempo give ‘Tell
Me O Kkhuda’ and ‘Mile Na Tu’ a try. </div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15753881871961500908noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9104872487412902707.post-3714753175601780352011-10-15T21:26:00.000-07:002011-10-21T04:45:13.922-07:00my favourite clicks<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">

Revolution 2020 is Chetan Bhagat’s fifth book after four successive
best sellers. With over 5 lakh pre – orders you could be forgiven for
thinking that his latest offering was keenly awaited by his fans after a
2 year drought with his “2 States: The Story of My Marriage” releasing
way back in 2009. With a title like “Revolution 2020″ and
Love.Corruption.Ambition as its tagline / slogan, you expect something
different from Chetan Bhagat this time. So does this book succeed? Let’s
see!<br />
Gopal is a relatively poor fellow whose barely making ends meet. He’s
no stranger to struggles in life whether it is tackling the entrance
exams of IITs and NITs or finding his ambition in life. He feels that
only money can get you happiness. Raghav on the other hand is ready to
mount a revolution against everything corrupt and wrong happening in the
society. He believes that someone has to stand up against the system.
Aarti is a happy go lucky girl who every guy would dream of having as
his soul mate.<br />
<span id="more-1135"></span><br />
The three were the best of friends since school but “Love, Corruption
and Ambition” combine together to bring differences between them. As
you must have guessed it, both love the same girl and therein lies the
main problem.<br />
At its core, this book is a love story like any other Chetan story.
But then the expose of the corrupt education system, the profit making
private engineering colleges, issue of bribing etc. give the book a
contemporary feel. Probably it wasn’t destined since he started writing
the book 2 years back, but the issue of corruption has been reignited by
Anna Hazare. And for the same reason a lot of readers would associate
with the issues mentioned in the book pretty well.<br />
By basing his story in Varanasi, Chetan has shown the willingness to
go beyond the metros he has generally portrayed in his story and
probably strike a cord with the semi urban populace. His descriptions of
each and every ghat are fantastic which goes to show the amount of
research he has put in for the same. Another interesting fact different
from his earlier books is that the main protagonist is shown (at least
in the first half) as someone who isn’t rich but generally has to save
money to make do with things in his life.<br />
But the book is predictable and ridden with cliches as usual. You
normally know what to expect next. But nonethless the ending was a bit
of surprise though yeah it does complete the melodrama pretty well. The
premise of the story is interesting but many a time you feel as though
things have been a bit extended. A crispier editing job could have made
things a lot better.<br />
The characters are pretty well etched it. Actually so well etched out
that you can associate movie which actor would be portraying that
particular role. The narrative and flow of the story is pretty good as
it moves effortlessly from their childhood in Varanasi to Gopal’s
coaching classes in Kota to them becoming adults.<br />
Considering the title and the different set of expectations I had,
its a bit of a disappointment. But for crazy Chetan fans, go for it! As a
matter of fact if I am not wrong, this is Chetan’s most expensive book
till date at an MRP of Rs 140. Wonder the reason behind such a hike? Was
the content really worthed this hike?</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #741b47; font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace; font-size: large;"><strong>The amazing and ardent foundation</strong></span>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The iphone 4s has changed the face of
smart phones as we know it. The iOS 5 is the latest and most
spectacular technology when it comes to the cell phones. It is truly the
technology of a realm beyond our wildest imaginations. It is the
program on which the iphone 4s has been built and developed.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #a64d79; font-family: "Courier New",Courier,monospace; font-size: large;"><strong>The Multi Use of </strong><strong>iOS 5</strong></span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<strong> </strong>iOS 5 leads to the effective and smooth
running of the multi touch. No other cell phone executes the multi touch
as efficiently as the iphone. The iOS 5 blesses the iphone 4s with the
latest and most innovative features. The iOS 5 makes the iphone 4s far
more secure than any ordinary phone. If the iphone gets lost then it can
be accessed from some place else and the data can be deleted before it
gets into the wrong hands. The location of the stolen phone can also be
noted by the iphone 4s. To protect the user’s privacy, those applications that require the user’s location are commanded to request
the user’s permission to
relay his location. Data stored in one
application can not be accessed by any other applications.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<strong></strong> iOS also
enables the users to relay sensitive information in an encrypted manner.
It also comes with the most sought after parental control feature.
Parents can block the applications and websites that they do not want
their children to have access to.
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The iOS 5 feature coupled with the A5
dual core chip makes the cell phone efficient in terms of battery. Since
the hardware and software are both made by Apple, their partnership is
efficient and smooth. Like video calling; where the users make use of
the camera, wifi, and microphone. Since all of them are manufactured and
integrated by the same company their running is superior to the others.
This partnership also enables the applications to make full use of all
the features in the iphone 4s, which include accelerometer, multi touch,
three axis gyro and many more. iOS is the most stable cell phone system
and it makes use of the latest OS X system. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
This system makes it far more stable than
other systems. The iOS feature of iphone 4s helps people with
disability to experience what most of the world is experiencing. It has a
voice over screen reading software that enables those who have impaired
vision to hear what they are touching. It also offers over 30 wireless
Braille displays. iOS can be used all around the world. There are thirty
languages embedded in the user interface. Users can switch between them
easily. Since the keyboard is software based customers can use from a
variety of languages. iOS makes business on the go easier and safer. A
lot of business professionals now use the iOS feature in their iphone
4s, it allows them to work without glitches and it allows them to store,
transmit and manage data in an encrypted manner, save from their
competitors. </div>

SOME OF MY TRICKS WHICH I FORGOT LAST TIME.....<br />

<span style="font-size: large;">Multiply Up to 20X20 In Your Head</span></h2>
<b>In
just FIVE minutes you should learn to quickly multiply up to 20x20 in your
head.</b> With this trick, you will be able to multiply any two
numbers from 11 to 19 in your head quickly, without the use of a calculator.
<br />
I will assume that you know your multiplication table reasonably well up
to 10x10.
<br />
Try this:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Take 15 x 13 for an example.
</li>
<li>Always place the larger number of the two on top in your mind.
</li>
<li>Then draw the shape of Africa mentally so it covers the 15 and the 3
from the 13 below. Those covered numbers are all you need.
</li>
<li>First add 15 + 3 = 18
</li>
<li>Add a zero behind it (multiply by 10) to get 180.
</li>
<li>Multiply the covered lower 3 x the single digit above it the "5" (3x5=
15)
</li>
<li>Add 180 + 15 = 195. </li>
</ul>

<span style="font-size: large;">The 11 Rule</span></h2>
<b>You likely all know the 10 rule (to
multiply by 10, just add a 0 behind the number) but do you know the 11 rule?
It is as easy! You should be able to do this one in you head for any two
digit number. Practice it on paper first!
To multiply any two digit number by 11:
<br />
<ul>
<li>For this example we will use 54.
</li>
<li>Separate the two digits in you mind (5__4).
</li>
<li>Notice the hole between them!
</li>
<li>Add the 5 and the 4 together (5+4=9)
</li>
<li>Put the resulting 9 in the hole 594. That's it! 11 x 54=594 </li>
</ul>
The only thing tricky to remember is that if the result of the addition
is greater than 9, you only put the "ones" digit in the hole and carry the
"tens" digit from the addition. For example 11 x 57 ... 5__7 ... 5+7=12 ...
put the 2 in the hole and add the 1 from the 12 to the 5 in to get 6 for a
result of 627 ... 11 x 57 = 627<br />Practice it on paper first!<br />
<br />
<h2 style="color: #6fa8dc; font-weight: normal;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><a href="" name="UP-Down">Square 2 Digit Number: UP-DOWN Method </a></span></h2>
</b><b><b>Square a
2 Digit Number, for this example 37:
<ul>
<li>Look for the nearest 10 boundary
</li>
<li>In this case up 3 from 37 to 40.
</li>
<li>Since you went UP 3 to 40 go DOWN 3 from 37 to 34.
</li>
<li>Now mentally multiply 34x40
</li>
<li>The way I do it is 34x10=340;
</li>
<li>Double it mentally to 680
</li>
<li>Double it again mentally to 1360
</li>
<li>This 1360 is the FIRST interim answer.
</li>
<li>37 is "3" away from the 10 boundary 40.
</li>
<li>Square this "3" distance from 10 boundary.
</li>
<li>3x3=9 which is the SECOND interim answer.
</li>
<li>Add the two interim answers to get the final answer.
</li>
<li>Answer: 1360 + 9 = 1369 </li>
</ul>

today i am going to share some of my all time favorite tricks to solve mathematics questions.<br />
<br />
<div style="background-color: #a2c4c9;">
<u><b><span style="font-size: large;"><span class="litem">1. The 11 Times Trick</span></span></b></u></div>
We all know the trick when multiplying by ten – add 0 to the end of
the number, but did you know there is an equally easy trick for
multiplying a two digit number by 11? This is it:<br />
Take the original number and imagine a space between the two digits (in this example we will use 52:<br />
5_2<br />
Now add the two numbers together and put them in the middle:<br />
5_(5+2)_2<br />
That is it – you have the answer: 572.<br />
<span id="more-2096"></span>If the numbers in the middle add up to a 2 digit number, just insert the second number and add 1 to the first:<br />
9_(9+9)_9<br />
(9+1)_8_9<br />
10_8_9<br />
1089 – It works every time.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="background-color: #a2c4c9;">
<u><b><span style="font-size: large;"><span class="litem"> </span></span></b></u><span style="font-size: large;"><b><span class="litem">2. Quick Square</span></b></span></div>
If you need to square a 2 digit number ending in 5, you can do so
very easily with this trick. Mulitply the first digit by itself + 1,
and put 25 on the end. That is all!<br />
252 = (2x(2+1)) & 25<br />
2 x 3 = 6<br />
625<br />
<b style="background-color: #6fa8dc; color: black;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span class="litem"></span></span></b><br />
<div style="background-color: #a2c4c9;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><b><span class="litem"> </span></b></span><b style="background-color: #6fa8dc; color: black;"><span style="font-size: large;"><span class="litem">3. Multiply by 5</span> </span></b><span style="background-color: #3d85c6;"></span></div>
Most people memorize the 5 times tables very easily, but when you get
in to larger numbers it gets more complex – or does it? This trick is
super easy.<br />
Take any number, then divide it by 2 (in other words, halve the
number). If the result is whole, add a 0 at the end. If it is not,
ignore the remainder and add a 5 at the end. It works everytime:<br />
2682 x 5 = (2682 / 2) & 5 or 0<br />
2682 / 2 = 1341 (whole number so add 0)<br />
13410<br />
<br />
<span style="background-color: #6fa8dc; font-size: large;"><span class="litem"></span></span><span style="background-color: #6fa8dc; font-size: large;"><span class="litem">4. Multiply by 9</span></span><br />
This one is simple – to multiple any number between 1 and 9 by 9 hold
both hands in front of your face – drop the finger that corresponds to
the number you are multiplying (for example 9×3 – drop your third
finger) – count the fingers before the dropped finger (in the case of
9×3 it is 2) then count the numbers after (in this case 7) – the answer
is 27.<br />
<span style="background-color: #6fa8dc; font-size: large;"><span class="litem"> <b style="background-color: #6fa8dc;">5.</b></span></span><span style="background-color: #6fa8dc; font-size: large;"><b><span class="litem">Subtracting from 1,000</span></b></span><span style="background-color: #6fa8dc; font-size: large;"><b><span class="litem"> </span></b></span><br />
To <span style="background-color: #3d85c6;"></span>subtract a large number from 1,000 you can use this basic rule:
subtract all but the last number from 9, then subtract the last number
from 10:<br />
1000<br />
-648<br />

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
Hope you all have practiced problems on trains. Now let us discuss problems on percentage. percentage is a way of expressing a quantity in 100.</div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
The fundamental concept to remember when performing calculations with
percentages is that the percent symbol can be treated as being
equivalent to the pure number constant <span class="texhtml" dir="ltr">1 / 100 = 0.01</span> , for example 35% of 300 can be written as <span style="white-space: nowrap;">(35/100) × 300 = 105</span></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
</span>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<span style="white-space: nowrap;"></span>To calculate a percentage of a percentage, convert both percentages
to fractions of 100, or to decimals, and multiply them. For example, 50%
of 40% is:</div>
<dl style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><dd><span style="white-space: nowrap;">(50/100) × (40/100) = 0.50 × 0.40 = 0.20 = 20/100 = 20%.</span></dd></dl>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
It is not correct to divide by 100 and use the percent sign at the same time. (E.g. <span style="white-space: nowrap;">25% = 25/100 = 0.25</span>, not <span style="white-space: nowrap;">25% / 100</span>, which actually is <span style="white-space: nowrap;">(25/100) / 100 = 0.0025</span>.)</div>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
The easy way to calculate addition in percentage (discount 10% + 5%):</div>
<dl style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><dd>y = [(x1+x2) - (x1*x2)/100%]</dd></dl>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
For example, in a department store promotion "discount 10%+5%", the total discount is not 15%, but:</div>
<dl style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><dd><span class="texhtml" dir="ltr"><i>y</i> = [(10% + 5%) − (10% * 5%) / 100%] = [15% − 0.5%] = 14.5%</span></dd><dd><span class="texhtml" dir="ltr"> </span></dd><dd><span class="texhtml" dir="ltr"><span style="font-size: large;"><b style="color: #741b47;">SOME SAMPLE PROBLEMS:</b></span> </span></dd></dl>
<ol style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<li>What is <span class="texhtml" dir="ltr">200%</span> of <span class="texhtml" dir="ltr">30</span>?
<dl><dd>Answer: <img alt="200% \times 30 = \frac{200}{100} \times 30 = \frac{2}{1} \times 30 = 2 \times 30 = 60" class="tex" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/math/e/f/8/ef829d2b13aa2818c201d1ce10da879f.png" /></dd></dl>
</li>
<li>What is <span class="texhtml" dir="ltr">13%</span> of <span class="texhtml" dir="ltr">98</span>?
<dl><dd>Answer: <img alt="13% \times 98 = \frac{13}{100} \times 98 = \frac{13 \times 98}{100} = 12.74" class="tex" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/math/d/f/4/df443adfe4cf77308c63f1ec53715190.png" /></dd></dl>
</li>
<li><span class="texhtml" dir="ltr">60%</span> of all university students are female. There are <span class="texhtml" dir="ltr">2400</span> female students. How many students are in the university?
<dl><dd>Answer: <img alt="2400 = 60% \times n" class="tex" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/math/b/c/b/bcb942c794660f162b3e56f191297e8b.png" />, therefore <img alt=" n = \frac{2400}{ \tfrac{60}{100} } = \frac{2400 \times 100}{60} = 4000" class="tex" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/math/0/6/6/066fab00d027b028503109c2a58e4ee8.png" /> </dd><dd>.</dd></dl>

<li>There are <span class="texhtml" dir="ltr">300</span> cats in the village, and <span class="texhtml" dir="ltr">75</span> of them are black. What is the percentage of black cats in that village?
<dl><dd>Answer: <img alt="75 = n% \times 300 = \frac{n}{100} \times 300" class="tex" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/math/3/b/8/3b8777fd4c81eea3c04b84db277a0029.png" />, so <img alt="n = \frac{75}{300} \times 100 = 25" class="tex" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/math/8/9/5/8957bf633727e409291b294b20537745.png" /> and therefore <span class="texhtml" dir="ltr"><i>n</i>% = 25%</span>.</dd></dl>
</li>
<li>The number of students at the university increased to <span class="texhtml" dir="ltr">4620</span>, compared to last year's <span class="texhtml" dir="ltr">4125</span>, an absolute increase of <span class="texhtml" dir="ltr">495</span> students. What is the percentual increase?
<dl><dd>Answer: <img alt="495 = n% \times 4125 = \frac{n}{100} \times 4125" class="tex" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/math/1/5/a/15a8dd1b9824b659ee33fb249b86d078.png" />, so <img alt="n = \frac{495}{4125} \times 100 = 12" class="tex" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/math/3/c/d/3cd7a0ff87f2748b059cd5b99945e186.png" />, and therefore <span class="texhtml" dir="ltr"><i>n</i>% = 12%</span>.</dd></dl>

<dl style="color: #0b5394; font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><dd><span style="font-size: large;"><span class="texhtml" dir="ltr"><b>SOME IMPORTANT CONCEPTS:</b></span></span></dd></dl>
<ul style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; text-align: left;">
<li>An increase of 100% in a quantity means that the final amount is
200% of the initial amount (100% of initial + 100% of increase = 200% of
initial); in other words, the quantity has doubled.</li>
<li>An increase of 800% means the final amount is 9 times the original (100% + 800% = 900% = 9 times as large).</li>
<li>A decrease of 60% means the final amount is 40% of the original (100% − 60% = 40%).</li>
<li>A decrease of 100% means the final amount is <i>zero</i> (100% − 100% = 0%).</li>
</ul>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<u><b>CONVERTING A FRACTION INTO PERCENTAGE:</b></u></div>
<ul style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<li>Divide the numerator of the fraction by the denominator (e.g. 4 ÷ 5=0.80)</li>
<li>Multiply by 100 (Move the decimal point two places to the right) (e.g. 0.80*100 = 80)</li>
<li>Round the answer to the desired precision.</li>
<li>Follow the answer with the % sign (e.g. 80%)</li>
</ul>
<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<u><b>CONVERTING PERCENTAGE TO FRACTION:</b></u></div>
<ul style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
<li>Remove the Percent sign</li>
<li>Make a fraction with the percent as the numerator and 100 as the denominator (e.g. 83/100)</li>
<li>Reduce the fraction if needed</li>
</ul>

hi friends, i want to share some of the tricks on how to solve aptitude questions quickly.there are few points to remember:<br />
1)There are <b>no tricks which are unanimous.</b><br />
<b>2)</b>You need to<b> practice as many questions as you can</b> and than have
to make tricks which are suitable to you accordingly as mind level and
level of preparation along with interests does vary from person to
person so unanimous tricks won't do ...<br />
<br />
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
3)The tricks also <b>varies from questions to questions</b> , so it won't
be possible to provide you tricks for each and every type but you can
post some type of questions over here and i will try to elaborate
tricks to you as much as possible as i have also given such tests ...<br />
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
4)You need to<b> practice as much tests as possible</b> before your exam and that will be suffice </div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
let us today discuss about train problems:</div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
first let us solve a basic question.</div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="bix-tbl-container"><tbody>

<td class="bix-td-option" id="tdOptionDt_B_454" width="49%">180 metres</td></tr>
<tr><td class="bix-td-option" id="tdOptionNo_C_454" width="1%"><a href="http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=9104872487412902707" id="lnkOptionLink_C_454">C.</a></td>
<td class="bix-td-option" id="tdOptionDt_C_454" width="49%">324 metres</td><td class="bix-td-option" id="tdOptionNo_D_454" width="1%"><a href="http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=9104872487412902707" id="lnkOptionLink_D_454">D.</a></td>
<td class="bix-td-option" id="tdOptionDt_D_454" width="49%">150 metres</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
this is the simplest question you can get in trains problem..read the question and you now know that speed and time is given and you need to find out length i.e. distance.we know the formula for distance which is speed *time. the only problem is that speed is given in km/hr and time in second.this is one of the common mistake we usually do.we should solve only when units are in same system.now we can either convert speed into m/sec or time into hour.but converting speed is more easy coz we need to multiply only by 5/18.</div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
if you don't know how this 5/18 came then this is the explanation:</div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
1 km=1000metre</div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
1hr=60*60 seconds=3600 seconds</div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
so, km/hr=1000/3600m/sec=5/18m/sec</div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
when we convert from km/hr to m/sec we multiply by 5/18 and when we convert from m/sec to km/hr we multiply by 18/5</div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
now the solution</div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">

above problem if the man would have been stationary. before we solve the question let us understand the concept of same direction and opposite direction.let us take an example, the distance between A and B is 100 km.</div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
CASE 1: a car from A starts moving at speed of 50 km/hr towards B and the car at B starts moving at speed 30 km/hr in same direction as of car from A was moving i.e. opposite to A.now the time required for the two trains to meet will be 100/(50-30)=5hr coz in the same direction the relative speed is the difference of two speed.<br />
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
CASE 2:if the car from B was moving toward A then the time required would be 100/(50+30)=1.125hr coz in opposite direction the relative speed is the sum of two speed.</div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">

<ol type="1">
<li>
Time taken by a train of length <i class="ga-var">l</i> metres to pass a pole or standing man or a signal post is equal to the time taken by the train to cover <i class="ga-var">l</i> metres.<br />

<li>
Time taken by a train of length <i class="ga-var">l</i> metres to pass a stationery object of length <i class="ga-var">b</i> metres is the time taken by the train to cover (<i class="ga-var">l</i> + <i class="ga-var">b</i>) metres.<br />

<li>
Suppose two trains or two objects bodies are moving in the same direction at <i class="ga-var">u</i> m/s and <i class="ga-var">v</i> m/s, where <i class="ga-var">u</i> > <i class="ga-var">v</i>, then their relative speed is = (<i class="ga-var">u</i> - <i class="ga-var">v</i>) m/s.<br />

6.If two trains of length <i class="ga-var">a</i> metres and <i class="ga-var">b</i> metres are moving in the same direction at <i class="ga-var">u</i> m/s and <i class="ga-var">v</i> m/s, then:<br />
The time taken by the faster train to cross the slower train =(a+b)/(u-v)sec</div>
<div style="background-color: transparent; border: medium none; color: black; overflow: hidden; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;">
7.If two trains (or bodies) start at the same time from points A and B towards each other and after </div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: white; color: #333333; font-family: 'lucida grande',tahoma,verdana,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 16px;"></span><br />
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
There is a way, ladies and gentlemen, you get yourself aboard an early developers look at Facebook’s new layout, that being the one called Timeline that we were introduced to recently. The process is relatively simple, though you must be warned: its designed to allow developers to see the build early and may not be completely set up to show you exactly what you want to see of yourself – my god, your whole Facebook life, right there! Let’s get started!</div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
First, you must head to the Facebook Developers page at https://developers.facebook.com/ and sign up for an account. This will be the longest portion of your process as you may have to wait for permissions to take effect or for your confirmation numbers to go through. You’ve got to confirm your account with a text message sent to your cell phone, at which point you’ve got to head to step two.</div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
Second, create a new app. To do this you’ve just got to head up to the upper right-hand side of your developer homepage and hit the Create New App button. You’ll have a window pop up with a place for App Display Name and App Namespace. Enter whatever you like and click Continue. There may be a “type this picture” security check at this point – do it and continue.</div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
Third, once you’re in the App Summary for the app you’ve just started creating, find the link in the upper left that’s titled “Open Graph”. You’ll recognize this link from yesterday’s news. Here you’ve got to enter something basic in both text fields, something like Watch and Movie will do fine. Hit “get started.”</div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
Fourth, you’ll be brought back to a page that looks basically like the page you were at before you hit Open Graph. All you’ve got to do here is go to the bottom of the screen and hit “Save Changes and Next”. At this point you wait for a few minutes.</div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
Fifth and finally, head to your own normal Facebook homepage and you’ll hopefully see this little box front and center. Hit “Get it Now” and you’re in!</div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
Also check out our full Timeline guide if you wanna know how to get around n such. Futuristic!</div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-size: 11px; line-height: 1.5em;">
<b>UPDATE:</b> Note that it will only be you and other Facebook Developers (including everyone else who used this method to activate, in this case) that will be able to see your Timeline until the 30th of September, 2011. It appears that this is the date that Timeline will be active for everyone OR at least the date at which the Beta will begin to be sent out in bulk.</div>
